Potassium Carbonate - Introduction

Potassium carbonate (chemical formula: K₂CO₃) is a colorless crystalline solid, odorless at room temperature, and hygroscopic. It has good solubility, dissolving rapidly in water to release an alkaline solution of potassium hydroxide.

Potassium carbonate has a wide range of applications. Firstly, it is widely used as an industrial chemical raw material for producing toilet soap, glass, steelmaking, textiles, leather processing, and battery manufacturing.
